Iranian Legal Document Analysis helps UK lawyers, companies and individuals understand what an Iranian document says legally and what it does not establish. The service may concern a power of attorney, title record, inheritance document, company resolution or court decision. It explains legal significance rather than simply translating the words.
When this service is useful
The first task is to identify the document, its date, issuer, complete contents and purpose in the receiving matter. Supply all pages, attachments and available translations. A partial image can omit qualifications or endorsements that change the analysis. If the document is historic, the relevant law at that time may need examination.
What the engagement can cover
An agreed analysis can explain the document type, named parties, stated powers or rights, conditions, limits and further records needed to interpret it. A power of attorney, for example, requires attention to the actual authority granted, its duration and any relevant restrictions. Possession of the document does not alone answer every question about its continuing effect.
A practical example
A UK solicitor receives an Iranian power of attorney described as allowing a property sale. The review can identify whether the supplied text addresses sale, receipt of funds and delegation, and which assumptions or supporting records need checking. It should not silently treat a broad description in an email as the document’s actual wording. This is an illustrative scenario, not a client case.
Scope and professional roles
Legal interpretation is separate from forensic authentication, signature verification, certified translation and a live registry search. Those tasks are not included unless expressly agreed with appropriate providers. A scanned document cannot be declared genuine merely because its wording appears familiar.
Connected legal work
Where a document concerns company decisions, see our company authority review. Where it is intended to be evidence of Iranian law in proceedings, consider the requirements for an independent expert report.
How to instruct
We begin with a suitability and conflict check, then agree the questions, documents, intended use, timetable and fee in writing. Work involving court evidence is assessed separately from advisory or transactional work. Confidential materials should follow through the agreed channel after engagement arrangements are established. Additional research, translation or attendance is included only where specified.
Frequently asked question
Is this a certified translation service?
No. It is legal analysis. Any certified translation or authentication requirement is identified and arranged separately where included in the engagement.
Your next step
Identify the document and the decision it is meant to support before sending the full file through the agreed channel. Request a legal document interpretation review.
Service information reviewed 15 October 2026. The accepted scope, relevant law and receiving forum’s requirements determine the work.
Issuer enquiries and the limits of verification
Legal analysis explains what a supplied record means and identifies inconsistencies or missing information. Where a lawful issuer enquiry is appropriate, we can assess and coordinate that route within an agreed scope. We do not certify a document’s authenticity merely by reviewing a scan. Access requires the necessary authority and cooperation of the issuing body. For obtaining an identified copy, use our records and document retrieval support.
